Minor girl rescued

On 14/02/2024, due to the presence of mind of a responsible citizen, Shri Kishan Bishwakarma, of Teesta, a 16 year old minor girl who had gone missing could be rescued. Shri Bishwakarma, a cab driver by profession, alerted the police of Teesta Check Post when he found the minor had taken a cab for Siliguri without any guardian. The police immediately acted upon receiving the information and was able to rescue the minor girl and hand her over to her parents.
