Accused Convicted

On 19/12/2019, there was a complaint that a a minor girl went missing. A specific case was immediately registered by Women PS kalimpong and investigation was taken over by LSI Sovna Sewa. Later, it came to light that the minor had been taken and sexually assaulted by one Sohan Chettri of Sikkim. After completion of the investigation, the L.D. court has sentenced him with rigorous imprisonment for a period of 20 years and a total fine of Rs. 35,000 /- as per relevant sections of the law.
