Today on 26/06/2024, On International Day against Drug abuse and Illicit trafficking, a series of awareness program were organised by police personnel of Kalimpong throughout the district.At Saptashri Vidyapeeth, Kalimpong all senior officers of police along with NGO HANDS had interactive session with students to aware them about the same. At Bagarkote High School, Mongpong awareness among students was held.A rally cum awareness program among students and youth was organised under Lava PSSt. Francis School students were sensitised by police and NGO under Gorubathan PS. Rally cum awareness program was held under Jholong area of Jaldhaka.Awareness among local youth at Melli was spread. Awareness among students of Grace high school, Pedong by done by police.As this year theme suggests, "Invest in Prevention", district police used the opportunity for the same and appeals to citizen to join hand with the administration and pledge to contribute towards eradication of this menace.
