Kalimpong District Police had organised a Sit and Draw Competition for the children of Police Personnel .
SIT AND DRAW COMPETITIONS' are about more than just participation and winning prizes, they can play a major role in uncovering and nurturing natural talents of children. The children find a platform to display their creative and artistic abilities. With this objective Kalimpong District Police had organised a Sit and Draw Competition for the children of Police Personnel of all ranks on 26/05/2024 ar Birla House, Kalimpong. We witnessed the participation of total 28 children. Respected DIG, Darjeeling Range, SP Kalimpong, Additional SP Kalimpong along with other officials graced the occasion.
The esteemed judges for the event were:- (1) Shri Churamani Labar, Curator and founder, Green Art Gallery (2) Shri Phinjo Sherpa, Member Artist, Green Art Gallery and (3) Shri Prakash Bhusal, Member Artist, Greeen Art Gallery.he competition had three age groups :-
1) Kid Category (4-7 yrs) (open theme) (2) Junior Category (8-12 yrs) (Theme :- Environment) 3) Senior Category (13-15 yrs) (Theme:- Women Empowerment (Nari Shakti)) The winners in each category:- Kid Category (4-7 yrs) (open theme) 3rd:- Tenzin Samdup Bhutia (5 yrs),S/O LC 392 Rinchen Lhamu Bhutia. 2nd- Spanda Chandra Rai (6 yrs), S/O LC 198 Tresa Tamang. 1st:- Adishree Chettri, D/O LC 508 Priya Chettri
Junior Category (8-12 yrs)(Theme- Environment) 3rd:- Riya Chettri (11 yrs),D/O LCVF 125 Priya Tamang. 2nd:- Yug Sundas (8 yrs), S/O CVF 609 Sachin Darjeeling ( Sundas). 1st:- Jeck Kharia (11 yrs), S/O LCVF 477 Sakuntala Oraon Senior Category (13-15 yrs) (Theme:- Women Empowerment (Nari Shakti)) 3rd:- Saneedhya Tamang (13 yrs), D/O HG 1020 Nabin Tamang.2nd:- Shlok Sharma (13 yrs), S/O LC 28 Durga Niroula. 1st:- Sanskriti Chhetri (14 yrs), D/O CVF 614 Arjun Chhetri.
